Elyname docs

Elyname is the name service for the .elysium domain on the Elysium chain. It gives your wallet a short name that people can read, like yourname.elysium, instead of a long 0x address.

• Name to address. Apps can look up a .elysium name and get the wallet it points to.
• Address to name. You can set one primary name, so apps can show your name in place of your address.
• Subnames. A name owner can create subnames such as pay.yourname.elysium.
• Owned by you. Each name is a token held in your wallet. You can send it to another wallet.

1. Go to the home page.
2. Paste your wallet address. It starts with 0x and has 40 letters or numbers after it.
3. Press the arrow button. You will see a message that you are on the list.

Joining is free. You do not sign anything and you do not connect your wallet. We only store the address you paste. If you add an address that is already on the list, the page tells you and nothing changes.

Elyname works with Elyscan, the explorer for Elysium. When your wallet has a primary .elysium name, Elyscan shows that name in place of your wallet address. People can also search Elyscan by name.

So the name you bid on Elyname is what others see next to your activity, not a long string of characters.

• Names use lowercase letters a-z, numbers 0-9 and the hyphen -.
• A name can be 1 to 63 characters long, not counting .elysium.
• Names are registered for a period of time and can be renewed. Prices and terms for mainnet will be shared at launch.

Does joining the whitelist cost anything?

No. It is free and needs no transaction.

Do I need to connect my wallet?

No. You only paste your public wallet address. Elyname never asks for your seed phrase or private key, and you should never share them with anyone.

Can I add more than one wallet?

Yes. After you join, press "Add another address" and paste the next one.

When can I get my name?

When .elysium names open on Elysium mainnet. The date will be announced on @Elynamexyz.

Will my name show on Elyscan?

Yes. Once you set a .elysium name as your primary name, Elyscan shows it in place of your wallet address.

Can I move my name to another wallet?

Yes. Your name is a token in your wallet, so you can send it like any other token.
